ACCOMMODATION FOR YOGI
A healthy lifestyle begins with your living environment. Your living space needs to be clean and hygienic, it is a well-known fact that a neat and clean room symbolises clarity and order in its occupant’s character. At AYR we provide you with clean and hygienic accommodation. The rooms are well tended to with a cosy bed and a cupboard for your belongings, there is also a side table with two chairs, an AC, and an attached bathroom. All the rooms are spacious with windows for cross ventilation and a heart-warming view of the Ganga flowing across the city outside. We prioritise your comfort and there is 24/7 help available on campus for all your needs. Our staff is high on maintenance, you get scrubbed and sterilised bathrooms and regularly washed bedsheets and curtains. We have strict rules and regulations on campus as discipline is a key virtue of a yogi’s life. Yoga teaches you control over your senses, it helps you overcome your urges and become a master of your body and mind. Smoking and drinking are strictly prohibited in our premises, such practices are unhealthy and it disrupts the sanctity of our centre. Our rules also prevent any misdemeanour so that you can have a hassle free stay throughout the program and the campus is covered with CCTV for your safety. We believe in giving you a wholesome experience while educating you in our yoga teacher training program. The AYR family welcomes you to our institute and we will do our best to make you feel at home.

FOOD FOR YOGI
Ashtanga Yogapeeth Rishikesh has a clean sanitised kitchen and a simple satvik menu for our students. Robert Urich said, “A healthy outside starts from the inside,” so good food is a must for all, especially for a yogi. We are as simple as the food we eat, and nothing is as pious as a yogi’s life. We provide three meals a day plus tea and snacks in the evening. A nutritious diet is prepared keeping in mind your health as well as taste. We focus on making the food both delicious and healthy at the same time. During your yoga teacher training program you would need all the strength you can get and eating healthy is of utmost importance. A satvik diet includes light and nourishing food, it increases your energy levels, which consequentiality makes you calm and gives you mental clarity. Satvik food also has detoxing qualities, it acts as a filter for our body removing all the unwanted materials strengthening our immune system. Satvik diet is another jewel given to mankind by our rich Indian heritage of Ayurveda. It encompasses the ideals of ahimsa or non-violence and simple living, diet is essentially vegetarian prepared using organic plant-based and dairy produce and it strictly prohibits the use of meat. It comprises fruits, nuts, vegetables, seeds, milk, legumes and other naturally derived elements. The yogis and sages have promoted this practice of cooking and healthy eating since ages, practising as well as preaching its benefits like boosting metabolism, promoting digestion, uplifting your immune system, enriching your hair and skin and overall it preserves a balanced state of mind and body.
